		<description><![CDATA[There is not however a &quot;tax free divorce&quot; for same-sex couples if they can not actually be &quot;married&quot; by law.  Income tax on gains from &quot;sale&quot; of property when splitting up assets, gift tax implications, etc. These are all issues that married couples do not have to worry themselves with when they get divorced.  Of course there is plenty of other issues to worry about during a divorce but...this is a tax blog after all!]]></description>
